How to Find the Right Keyword to rank #1 in Google

If you are ranking in number #1 in Google, but you are making money little to nothing then perhaps you are ranking for the wrong keyword. Today we will break down the reasons to rank #1 in Google  as per your niche and help you find the right keyword to rank #1 in Google.

Tip no. #1: Semrush:

You can simply go and put in your URL into Semrush and it will show you the most popular pages that your competitor is getting traffic for, this will give you idea about what your competitors are doing, if your competitors are bigger than you then probably know what they are doing and they are probably going for the keywords and traffic that's converting in the leads and sales. So you wanna make sure you look at their strategy before you come up with your own. So once you figured out the most popular pages go take those pages and go put them into Ahrefs. Ahrefs will show you how many links each of those popular pages have. And you know the hardest thing is? is to build links.

So what you wanna do is go look for the most popular pages that has the least amount of links, that means those are the pages you will be focusing first, it will give all the keywords that your competitors are ranking for when they don't have a ton of back links. That will give you idea about what you should be doing first cause they not only will give you traffic but also they least competitive because they don't have huge amount of back links.

Tip no. #2: Use Google Search Console:

Did you know that Google gives you a free tool that helps you rank number #1? and yes it is called Google Search Console.It breaks down all of your rankings, the keywords that your pages are getting traffic for even the positioning as page 1, page 2, page 3 and it breaks down exactly where you are ranking. Now the cool part about Google Search Console is when you dive deep into each of your pages using the search analytics and it shows all the impressions you are getting for the keywords your are bottom of the page one for. the reason that you wanna go after the keywords you are bottom of page one for it's way easier to rank #1 for the keyword you are already in first page for verses the brand new keyword you are not in the top 100 for.

Going after this is more tougher than going after the keywords you are bottom of the page for. And what you realize with Google Search Console is you rank for lots of long tail keyword at the bottom of page one that you are not even trying to go after but yet they bring you traffic and they convert visitors into customers. So once you have those keywords you wanna look at them and Google Search Console shows you all these keywords and then you can go to your landing page and make sure those keywords are in your tilt tag and meta description your heading tag and within the content of your page. By doing that you will slowly increase to rank for those pages that you are bottom of page one for.

Tip no. #3: Google Trends:

The last tip that we have for you to find the right keyword is to use Google Trends.It's another free tool by Google, it breaks down keyword traffic from web, images, news. This breaks down which keyword is  climbing in popularity and you should go for the keywords that aren't popular yet but are climbing.Blog about the topic that are not popular yet.

For an example you can talk about i-phones next model, about their cases, apps , new features that they have.
